7th Grade Parent Information
Although the admissions process for high schools doesn't really begin for students until the fall of their 8th grade year doing research and becoming knowledgeable about the high schools in our area can happen prior to your child entering 8th grade.
It is important to note that your child's academic performance in 7th grade is just as important as their performance in 8th grade. Every school or program with an application asks to look at the 7th grade transcript, some even ask to review the 6th grade one. For schools in the Monmouth County Vocational District, 7th grade final grades count for 15 points out of 100 for their application.
